Big Al’s Specialty Movers went OUT OF THEIR WAY for me, big time! They were recommended to me when I needed to move my family baby-grand piano out of my brother’s house in Sisters, OR as he needed the room for a hospital bed (unfortunately), ASAP, and bring it to my house in Brownsville. I called and spoke with Beth who was very nice, and promised to check with Al to see if it was something they could do.
I don’t always have hope that businesses will get back to me, but Beth responded quickly, telling me they would help me out. My brother’s house is out of town and they had to park the 40-foot trailer on his street and bring the piano out to it. Then, at our house (which is also out of town, and on a hill with very challenging driveways), they unloaded with expert care the piano and set it up right where we wanted it.
Then, the big challenge was turning the trailer around and bringing it back up our driveway. Although it took several maneuvers, Al and his assistant handled the truck and trailer with expertise and were then on their way.
I know this was a HUGE worry off of my brother’s mind as he deals with his health issues, and I can’t say enough how kind, polite, responsive, and EXTREMELY REASONABLE IN PRICE Big Al’s Specialty Moving was for us.
I will ALWAYS recommend them for any of your moving needs, especially those difficult ones.

Big Al’s proved their slogan, carefully moving a delicate grand piano between states and up an old, steep flight of stairs to its new home. Everything arrived in the condition it was picked up, and the crew couldn’t have been more friendly. If I ever have to do a move like this again, I’d certainly call Big Al’s. Highly recommend!

Ed, Ivan, Albert, James and Leonard (yes, we needed FIVE men to move our belongings!) were considerate, careful, STRONG, professional, and hard-working! Dear Moving Staff,

After our house was sold in December and we found another home, the realization set in that we had to move all of our stuff. Not having a lot of experience with moving companies, we put off the decision to call and choose someone to handle all of our treasures. The small stuff, drawers, tables, throw rugs, pictures, dishes, clothes, etc, we knew we could move ourselves. The real challenge came with the baby grand piano and the several large china cabinets, heavy bedroom furniture, desk and the things a 70 year old gentleman just can’t pick up anymore. We asked Moe’s Piano’s to recommend someone who would move the piano and perhaps all the other furniture. You folk’s were at the top of their list so you got our call. What a luck day for us.

The whole experience, from the first phone call to the estimate to the moving day was totally positive. The three men who moved us, Ben, Anthony and J.R. were the most professional trio of young men I have met in a long time. We had no scratches, dents, dings, or broken anything and a lot of our furniture was HEAVY. These fellows were also a delight to be around. So many service people these days are grumpy and mad at the world. These guys were good natured and seemed to enjoy their day and still completed a lot of hard work. We can’t say enough good things about your employees and would not hesitate to recommend Big Al’s to anyone who is planning a move.

I wanted to drop you all a little note and let all of you know I much I appreciate the wonderful help I received in moving my Steinway piano from Whidbey Island Washington to La Quinta Calif. The move was a challenge, but the trained professionals, under the guidance of Big Al made the entire process a wonderful experience for me . Beth and Vicky were so kind , and had proper information to put my mind at ease. Big Al because my piano was on the 2nd floor of building, with a very small stairway, had a forklift to lower the piano over my balcony It was very well done and the piano arrived at my house in perfect condition.
